Meet Wednesday evenings 5pm till 7pm at the Community Centre puppet theatre.

Founded in January 1999 by the Horsman family (John, Sandra and Rebecca) in Poynton, Cheshire. Known previously as The Poynton Junior Puppeteers. We performed by invitation at Care Homes, schools, festivals, private parties and, to audiences of all ages. In 2005, we found alternative premises to rehearse and designed a portable stage that we could transport and assemble at each venue. We then renamed our group to The Marionette Theatre Co.

Membership of the group is variable, our age range can vary for children around 8 years through to young adults and the original founders. Our main aim is to introduce young people to live audiences without the trauma of learning lines and long rehearsals. To a watching audience of any age, our marionettes are “little people”. It’s the skill of the puppeteers that make that possible by their effective manipulation
